Five Months

My baby girl is five months. FIVE MONTHS you guys!!!! How is this even possible?! I know I shouldn't be thinking about this but next month she's going to be six months. Half a YEAR!!!! Ugh.. depressing! I mean, don't get me wrong. I'm glad she's healthy and growing but this whole time-thing is no friend of mine. I miss that little newborn babe :(  

Size Diapers: Size Two. 

Size Clothes: 3 Months (three months is getting a bit small length wise) & 3 to 6 months. 

Eyes: They are still blue but Robby and I see hazel around her pupils. Him and I must be colorblind because no one else seems to see it. Not even her doctor ha.

Hair: Brown with a little bit of reddish tint. Her hair is growing and I'm LOVING IT. She has the cutest chickadee hair! 

Sleeping: Ehh.. She usually wakes up around 4 or 5 wanting a bottle. As soon as we give it to her, her eyes starts to close. If she seems reallllyy sleepy then I'll take the bottle away and put her back in her bed. 

Eating: She's been drinking 6oz (Gerber Soothe) and eats Earth's Best organic oatmeal for breakfast and dinner. We are selling our house so things have been pretty hectic, but when I get some time I want to mash up a little bit of banana to mix in with her oatmeal. I think she's ready for another ounce as well. 

Milestones: 

• Rolls from back to belly and is learning how to roll from her belly to her back. 
• She's not the best at it yet but she can grab her pacifier and stick it in her mouth. 
• She's been grabbing her right ear a lot. I thought she was grabbing it because of it hurting from teething, but her doctor said she recognizes she has a ear, that's why she's playing with it. 
• She chews on her toes! ha ha. 
• She recognizes her bottle and spoon/bowl when it's oatmeal time. 
• She reaches out for her bottle and is learning how to grab it. 
• She recognizes her name.
• She got her FIRST rash :( I bought her a soft faux fur blanket from Nordstrom's and when I laid her on it while I was straightening my hair, I started to notice the left side of her face turning red. By the time we went to the doctor's it was REALLY red and hot. We returned the blanket and it went away by the next morning. 
• She's starting to arch her back.

Nicknames: I've been calling her by her name and I call her "love" a lot. For Example: "you tired love?!" :)

Her/Our Loves:
To smile. Smile at her and she'll more than likely smile back at ya :)
Exersaucer.
We just got her the violet colored bumbo.
I'm pretty sure she has a favorite Disney Princess already. Ariel! One of my favorites. I sing "Part of Your World" to her almost every day and she'll stop and listen to me.
She loves her Dumbo Book.
When her blanket touches her face when she's trying to go to sleep. She loves her Lou Lou & Company swaddle blanket.

I didn't think she would take another pacifier because she's had the same one since she was born, but we bought her the Natursutten Pacifiers and she LOVES IT. Thank goodness because I love those pacifiers!

We love Billy Bibs.

Her fingers. She hasn't been talking much and I think it's because she always has a hand (or two!) in her mouth. 

Her feet.

Hates: 

Being left alone.

When we get out of the bath.

When I put clothes on her. I have to do it quick! If she's in a good mood then she's okay.

When I take the spoon out of her mouth to get more oatmeal.

When people burp or sneeze loud. She gets scared and will sometimes cry :(

She gets fussy when she's tired.

Four Months

We didn't get home till later so the lighting was horrible :(

Size Diapers: Size Two. 

Size Clothes: Some 0-3, 3 Months & some 3 to 6 months. 

Eyes: They are still blue! Crossing my fingers they stay blue but sometimes I see a little yellowish/hazel wanting to pop through. 

Hair: Brown with a little bit of reddish tint. She lost a lot of her hair but it's starting to grow back. I'm loving the little peach fuzz though. 

Sleeping: She was sleeping the whole night but now she's waking up around 3 a.m. wanting food. I give her a bottle and she usually falls back asleep. Have any advice? Is she going through four month sleep regression? Help!

Eating: She's been drinking 6oz and I just started feeding her baby oatmeal. She LOVES the oatmeal but she cries because I can't feed it to her fast enough.

Milestones: These are 3 month & 4 month milestones combined. 

Her hand eye coordination is improving. She's able to look at her hand. 

She's trying to sit up. She was even scooting out of her car seat when we were trying to eat dinner. I had her sitting in there without the buckles on. 

She puts her hand in her mouth and chews on her fingers and fist. She's been drooling a ton! She loves holding and chewing her burp cloth. 

She's also been putting her hands on my face and she's touching things that are in front of her. She's getting better at holding onto toys. 

She recognizes her bottle and binkey. She's been trying to hold on to her own bottle. 

She watches her learning videos so intensely. She doesn't take her eyes off of the screen. 

She ROLLED OVERRR!!!! I saw her roll over and went to grab my ipad since my phone had died. I didn't get her first time rolling over on video but she rolled over again, which I was able to get on video for her daddy to see ;) 

She laughs and giggles. She's also ticklish! I can't wait for her to start laughing more. 

Nicknames: I've been calling her by her name.

Funny Moments: I think it's hilarious when she's eating her oatmeal. She starts to cry when I go to get more oatmeal on the spoon and as soon as I give her more oatmeal, she goes "mmmff.. mmmff mmm." I guess you have to be there :)

I also love when she tries to grab my face and I get a nice slobbery KISS!!! I can kiss my baby all day. 

Favorite Baby Items: 

We still love our water wipes.

Three Months

Every monthly photo shoot must end with a yawn

Size Diapers: Size One. We still have some newborn diapers that we use for poopy situations. I will save you the details ;)

Size Clothes: 0-3 months and 3 months. 

Eyes: Still a deep blue color and lighter around her pupil. The lighter part looks like it's wanting to be hazel..? People are saying they're going to stay blue but I have a feeling they'll change on us. 

Hair: Brown with a little bit of reddish tint. There is still more hair around the sides than on top. 

Sleeping: She's been sleeping A LOT better this month. It fluctuates but she usually falls asleep around 6:00 p.m., wakes up around 12 midnight to eat, wakes up around 5:30 a.m. or so to eat again and then goes back to sleep until 10ish. 

Eating: She's been drinking 5oz. 

Milestones: She LOVES to smile!!!! She's such a happy baby. 

She also loves to talk. I posted a video on my instagram of her talking a little bit. I can listen to that sweet tiny voice all day long.

At her last doctors appointment she used her elbows to get up when the doctor wanted to see how she was doing with tummy time. 

Nicknames: my angel, baby girl.. I've been calling her by her name a lot though lately.

Funny Moments: I think it's funny when she's wanting her paci, but crying and getting upset at the same time. The noise that she makes with the paci in her mouth is hilarious. 

She farted when we were in the baby isle at Target. Pretty sure people thought it was me. It was LOUD! 

Favorite Baby Items: 

We've tried a couple different bottles. Both didn't work well for her and her tummy, so I bought these and so far so good.
Water Wipes are still a FAVORITE!!! Love those wipes.

She gets annoyed when I put headbands on her but once there on she forgets about them.
When we put lotion on her. She has a little bit of eczema so we've been using the samples of lotion the doctor gave us. Seems to be working well but any advice would be helpful.
The Doctors

Two Months

Size Diapers: Still fitting into newborn. 

Size Clothes: Newborn is fitting but getting tighter :( She's been wearing a lot of her 0-3 month clothes.  

Eyes: Still a deep blue color and lighter blue around her pupils. That would be cool if they stayed blue. 

Hair: She looks like a little balding old man. More hair on the sides than on top. 

Sleeping: It depends on how well she eats. She usually sleeps 3 hours. Four if I'm lucky! The other night she wasn't eating well, which made it such a long night for mommy because she got up ever hour and forty minutes. 

Eating: She's been drinking 4oz. She drank five ounces this morning!

Milestones: SMILING!!! :) She use to just smile when she was sleeping, but now she smiles back and it melts my heart. 

She's also cooing and trying to talk. I try to get it on video for her daddy, but by the time I grab my phone she stops. 

We know when she needs to burp because she starts to wiggle and gets uncomfortable, but she burps (sometimes belches) on her own mostly. 

Nicknames: Same as month one. Mostly baby girl, sweetheart and angel. My  mom calls her "baby love."

Funny Moments: We laugh when she farts! And boyyy are they stinky! How does something so smelly come out of such a cute babes?! 

Favorite Baby Items: 

I really wanted the comotomo bottles to work because they are cute and easy to clean, but the nipple kept collapsing on her. I don't think the vents were working properly. I also didn't like the fact that the bottom half started looking yellowish and sometimes it would leak around the ring of the bottle. 

• Water Wipes are our FAVORITE!!! They don't sell them at our Target anymore, so I order the boxes (comes with 9 packages) online. 
• Pampers Swaddlers

Loves:

• Eating
• Car rides only when the car is moving
• Being held/Snuggling
• Mommy singing to her

• Mommy (or at least I think she does lol)

Hates: 

• Gas pain
• Red lights
• Getting out of the bath
• Hiccups!! (She doesn't seem as bothered by them as I do)

Jolie's Baby Blessing

Our sweet baby girl was given the sweetest blessing at home by her daddy on Saturday, May 16th. LDS baby blessings are usually done at church, but due to Robby's work schedule and with my surgeries, we were thankfully, able to have it at home with our closet family members and our Bishop in attendance. We we're sad some family & friends couldn't make it though :(
