Jolie's First Pumpkin Patch

1/2 Year Old

Six Months

Size Diapers: Size Three. We switched to the honest brand. The pampers had a strange smell when she would pee. 

Size Clothes: 6-9 and some 6-12. 

Eyes: Still blue with a light hazel/yellowish around her pupil. 

Hair: Brown with a little bit of reddish tint. 

Sleeping: She's been sleeping A LOT better. She's usually ready for bed around 8-9pm and usually sleeps till 7 being the earliest and 9:30 being the latest. Once she wakes up, we give her a bottle, she plays for about a half an hour and is ready for her morning nap. Her naps don't last long at all though but that's okay. We're pretty lucky with the amount of sleep we've been getting, so I'm not complaining one bit. 

Eating: She's been drinking 6oz (Gerber Soothe) and eats Earth's Best organic oatmeal for breakfast. We've been putting banana in her oatmeal (every other day usually) and she LOVES IT!!! We have also tried fresh green beans (I pureed them in the blender) for dinner which wasn't a big hit. I may have to re-introduce that to her again. We tried carrots (Sunday 10-11-15) and she loved those. She made the funniest facial expression at first but enjoyed it after that first bite. 

Milestones: 

• SHE CAN SIT UP!!! Yay.
• She blows raspberries which is sooo cute! 
• Robby stuck his tongue out last night and made a farting noise and she tried to copy him. 
• She gets super excited when her videos start on YouTube. We love the little baby bum channel. She mostly watches educational videos. 
• Eating solids. 
• Rolling from her stomach to her back a couple times. 

Nicknames: We call her by her name. Sounds so strange but I do call her "bubus" a lot. Don't know why.

Her/Our Loves:
To smile. Smile at her and she'll more than likely smile back at ya :)
Exersaucer.
She loves her Dumbo Book.
Sleeping with the blanket over her face (she's the one who will put the blanket over her face) or sleeping in the dark (blinds shut). She's like her mommy.

Five Months

My baby girl is five months. FIVE MONTHS you guys!!!! How is this even possible?! I know I shouldn't be thinking about this but next month she's going to be six months. Half a YEAR!!!! Ugh.. depressing! I mean, don't get me wrong. I'm glad she's healthy and growing but this whole time-thing is no friend of mine. I miss that little newborn babe :(  

Size Diapers: Size Two. 

Size Clothes: 3 Months (three months is getting a bit small length wise) & 3 to 6 months. 

Eyes: They are still blue but Robby and I see hazel around her pupils. Him and I must be colorblind because no one else seems to see it. Not even her doctor ha.

Hair: Brown with a little bit of reddish tint. Her hair is growing and I'm LOVING IT. She has the cutest chickadee hair! 

Sleeping: Ehh.. She usually wakes up around 4 or 5 wanting a bottle. As soon as we give it to her, her eyes starts to close. If she seems reallllyy sleepy then I'll take the bottle away and put her back in her bed. 

Eating: She's been drinking 6oz (Gerber Soothe) and eats Earth's Best organic oatmeal for breakfast and dinner. We are selling our house so things have been pretty hectic, but when I get some time I want to mash up a little bit of banana to mix in with her oatmeal. I think she's ready for another ounce as well. 

Milestones: 

• Rolls from back to belly and is learning how to roll from her belly to her back. 
• She's not the best at it yet but she can grab her pacifier and stick it in her mouth. 
• She's been grabbing her right ear a lot. I thought she was grabbing it because of it hurting from teething, but her doctor said she recognizes she has a ear, that's why she's playing with it. 
• She chews on her toes! ha ha. 
• She recognizes her bottle and spoon/bowl when it's oatmeal time. 
• She reaches out for her bottle and is learning how to grab it. 
• She recognizes her name.
• She got her FIRST rash :( I bought her a soft faux fur blanket from Nordstrom's and when I laid her on it while I was straightening my hair, I started to notice the left side of her face turning red. By the time we went to the doctor's it was REALLY red and hot. We returned the blanket and it went away by the next morning. 
• She's starting to arch her back.

Nicknames: I've been calling her by her name and I call her "love" a lot. For Example: "you tired love?!" :)

Her/Our Loves:

We just got her the violet colored bumbo.
I'm pretty sure she has a favorite Disney Princess already. Ariel! One of my favorites. I sing "Part of Your World" to her almost every day and she'll stop and listen to me.
She loves her Dumbo Book.
When her blanket touches her face when she's trying to go to sleep. She loves her Lou Lou & Company swaddle blanket.

I didn't think she would take another pacifier because she's had the same one since she was born, but we bought her the Natursutten Pacifiers and she LOVES IT. Thank goodness because I love those pacifiers!
I've been loving Madeline's Box pacifier clips.
We love Billy Bibs.

Her fingers. She hasn't been talking much and I think it's because she always has a hand (or two!) in her mouth.

When people burp or sneeze loud. She gets scared and will sometimes cry :(
